Kolb Alexander, the founder of MD Motormanagement Diesel Technology, began his career in 1979 by the firm Abarth where he was responsable of the engine development of Rally cars like Lancia 037, Lancia S4 and Lancia Delta Integrale.Apart he also worked for private Rally drivers and teams as Ronald and Günther Holzer (D), Franz Wittmann and Ernst Harrach (both AUT).
In 1992 he changed from Abarth to Diesel test department of FIAT S.P.A where he take part on the development of the Common Rail diesel engine.
There he recognized the potential of the Common Rail diesel engine and began to build Diesel race engines.
In 2001 he founded the business MD Motormanagement Diesel Technology in Turin.
In the years 2002 to 2004 the MD was involved in the foundation of the 1° Diesel Cup whose name was ALFA 147 CUP.The firm was responsable for the development and administration on track (assistance) of the engines and gearboxes. In 2003 began the collaboration with OPC Performance Center for high end Diesel engines (Twin-Stage)
